Squishy Tushy Review and Giveaway!!! Extended {2/18 US}CLOSED

After all that research I did and when I finally had decided to jump in and buy cloth diapers I needed to choose a store.  I decided on Squishy Tushy for a few reason.  First off how cute is that name?  I couldn't say it without smiling.  Secondly, they run really great sales and deals on cloth diapers.  Finally they have a wide selection of cloth diaper brands and styles.  Because of the service and help I have received from this store I have decided to recommend it to you if you are looking to buy cloth.


Teresa the owner of the store goes above and beyond for every customer.  She answers every question herself, either by phone or email.  I had two occasions to ask her questions and both times she was extremely helpful.  The first was when I had a question about prepping instructions because the two diapers that I purchased had different instructions and were of different materials.  Teresa patiently explained to me the best way to prep each diaper and the best way to cut down on my time without sacrificing the care of the diapers.  The second question was about a manufacturer defect and how to go about getting my diaper repaired or replaced.  She put me in contact with the company and I was able to get my diaper repaired.

Squishy Tushy's website is more then just a retail store.  It caters to cloth diaper babies and mommies from birth to potty training.  Teresa offers Cloth Diapering 101 classes either in person or online.  If you live near Blissfield, Michigan you can go into the store for a free consultation.  If you do not live in that area, Teresa offers the first online Cloth Diaper Class.  The cost is $10 but at the end of the tutorial you receive a $10 Squishy Tushy store credit - in other words the class is free!  There is a small resources section about cloth diapering information on types, washing and potty training.  The one I found to be really interesting was "Why Does My Toddler Scream?" I won't spoil it for you but it is a short straight from the trenches post with a few ideas about the reasons why and reactions to a screaming toddler.

Squishy Tushy offers many options to the new to cloth diapering consumer.  They have a 15 day wash-n-try policy.  They offer a wide variety of sampler and trial kits as well as a newborn diaper rental for $40 a month.  The store also carries a line of ERGObaby carriers and accessories.

The website is easy and straight forward to navigate and the product descriptions and photos are clear and helpful.  I thought about shopping around but I came back to Squishy Tushy because I felt at home there and my online experience felt more like a trip to the corner store then an impersonal web purchase.  Plus I liked the "freebies" with purchase.  Currently she is offering:
